Your company data remains yours. Our technology remains ours.
One line settles most of what an owner wants to know before granting access. This page says where that line runs, in both directions, and points at the documents that make it binding.
We process your records. We do not acquire them.
Customer-specific source data remains the customer’s data. Tech-Enabled Capital does not acquire ownership of a customer’s underlying company records merely because our technology processes them, and nothing in the Data Processing Addendum transfers ownership of your underlying source data to us.
That covers the records we read out of the systems you already run — your accounting history, your customer and employee records, your operating documents — and it continues to apply to the organized, reconciled version of them that the system produces about your company.
The machine is licensed, not sold.
Our reusable software, architecture, methods, generalized know-how, connectors, evaluations, model-routing logic, automation frameworks and other platform intellectual property are separate from your data and are governed by the customer agreement.
That distinction is what makes the commercial structure work. You are licensing an operating technology layer built around your company, not buying a piece of custom software outright, and the same underlying machinery improves for every company running it.
The boundary holds when you leave.
If you decide not to continue at the end of the 45-day free trial, or a paid license later ends, the same boundary applies under the agreement that governs it: our proprietary licensed technology is disconnected and withdrawn; your underlying company data remains yours; and we retain our reusable software, architecture, methods, tooling, models, evaluations, routing logic, automation frameworks and generalized know-how.
Practically, the choice between return and deletion is yours. Tell us within 30 days of termination and we produce the export; otherwise we delete customer personal data from active systems within 60 days. Retention past that is limited to what law requires, a then-pending dispute or claim, and ordinary backup cycles.
What “the platform improves” does not mean.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information for security, analytics, reliability, research, benchmarking and the development of generalized capabilities, and we maintain the required de-identification safeguards. The fence around that right is published alongside it, because a right without a limit is not a commitment:
- We do not pool identifiable customer data across customers.
- We do not use identifiable customer data to train generalized models.
- We do not sell customer data or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- We do not attempt to re-identify de-identified data, except where testing de-identification is legally permitted.
What compounds across engagements is our own machinery — connectors, evaluations, failure-mode knowledge, operating logic — not one client’s records.
